Julieanne E. Steinbacher, Esq. 

Julieanne is the founding shareholder of Steinbacher, Sholder & Stahl. She graduated summa cum laude from King’s College, receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Gerontology.  She graduated from law school magna cum laude, receiving her degree from Widener University School of Law. A significant portion of her elder law practice focuses on estate and long-term care planning. As an attorney, her goal is to provide a bridge between legal services and the aging network. Much of her planning involves drafting and funding trusts. She also advises trustees who are administrating trusts.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Julieanne was employed by AARP and as a social worker at Valley View Nursing Facility. She has extensive lecturing experience as a speaker for Pennsylvania State University Tax Institutes and Tax Week, PICPA-Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, National Association of Tax Practitioners-PA Chapter, Pennsylvania Society of Public Accountants, Elder Law Institute, Pennsylvania Bar Institute, Pennsylvania Bar Association Annual Meeting, Back to Basics, Tax Pro Seminars, and the University of Illinois. In addition, she has conducted numerous local seminars for various organizations.

Julieanne is the President of Estate & Long Term Care Planning, Inc., a company which provides continuing education for professionals in Pennsylvania and coaching for attorneys throughout the nation. She has written materials published by the University of Illinois on estates, trusts, and taxation. She also has published materials in various newsletters and newspapers. Most recently, Julieanne completed a book about trusts, titled Pennsylvania Trust Guide, which was published by George T. Bisel in 2008.

Julieanne serves as the chairperson of The Lycoming Law Association Elder Law Committee. She also is a member of the Quality of Life/Balance Committee. She was honored for her work as the chairperson of Pennsylvania Bar Foundation Planned Giving Committee. Julieanne is currently the Director for Zone 4 of the Pennsylvania Bar Foundation and she serves as Zone 4 Chair of the Pennsylvania Bar Association/Young Lawyers Division Chair. She is a trustee for the YWCA of North Central Pennsylvania. She belongs to NAELA-National Association of Elder Law Attorneys, ASNP – Academy of Special Needs Planners, Wealth Counsel, LLC and Elder Counsel, LLC.

Julieanne lives in the Nippenose Valley with her husband, Donald. Together they are raising three children, Cortney, Stephanie, and DJ.
